Q. So if I rent equipment on Saturday what rate do I pay?

A. If you rent an item Saturday morning it is due back by closing that same day! Equipment that is rented after 1:00pm, will be a one day charge until Monday morning!

Q. How does the rental rate apply to equipment with hour meters?

A. Some of our equipment, such as Kubota Tractors, Trenchers, Skidsteers, Forklifts, and Excavators, have hour meters on them that keep track of the actual time an engine is running. A day rate for these such items is 8 hours of use on the meter and in the customers possession for up to 24 hours. If you do in fact go over the 8 hour limit, you will be charged by the hour.

Q. How does renting overnight work?

A. Equipment that is rented after 4pm and returned the next morning is charged an overnight rate. All lawn and garden equipment is a 3hr rate for overnight. Items with a 3 or 4 hour minimum such as tractors, trenchers, or floor sanders, etc... also works this way!

Q. Who is responsible for fuel?

A. All equipment is full of fuel when it leaves the lot. Large equipment (if it goes on a trailer) needs to be REFUELED before returning. Small equipment (mowers, thatchers, tillers, pressure washers, etc...) rates include fuel. Customer does not need to refuel these items.

Q. What if I can't return the item when you are open? Can I drop the item off somewhere?

A. We do not have a secure drop off area. Therefore it is up to the customer to make arrangements to have the equipment returned during regular business hours. All equipment must be checked in by a West's Rentals employee.
